EA has announced that Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline will be getting a new overhauled UI that will make finding games and grouping up easier than ever.
“The new Battlefield user interface is designed to improve the experience of playing with friends and to bring relevant content to your attention,” a new blog post explains.
“Now, you’re able to create a Squad before you actually enter into a game. Being able to join up with your friends and join into a game together makes it a much smoother experience, and helps make sure you’re able to spawn on your buddies as soon as you’re in the game.”
This overhaul will also include a recommendation engine that will suggest maps, modes, and more to players.
The new UI is currently rolling out in beta form to a “small audience” in Battlefield 4 and will be expanded to more players over the coming months. Battlefield 1 players will get the new UI at launch, and it will be pushed to Battlefield Hardline “soon after that.”
“Once it’s rolled out for all three games, you’ll be able to easily swap between the games as long as you own them,” the post concludes. “Want to jump from St. Quentin Scar in Battlefield 1 to the skyscrapers of Shanghai in Battlefield 4? It’ll be easier than ever.”
